THE STABLE

DECK

The Stable was once a small horse stable. The cottage now consists of a large room divided to provide a smaller room that houses a "working man's" bed. In the main space there is a Cape kitchen with a 4 burner stove and 1/2 refrigerator, a table for 2 or 3, a queen sized custom platform bed, comfortable couch, stereo TV and VCR, and lots of windows on the surrounding foliage which includes black pine, olive trees and wild beach plantings. A fire place was added to the stable this winter, enhancing its' off season ambience! There is an inside shower room and a bath room. An outside terrace features deck chairs, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, a very private outdoor shower and an enclosed hammock shelter. Although a dune blocks the stable from having a bay view, you can hear the surf at night and a private path puts you at the top of the dune in less than a minute. The cottage is fully insulated, the interior has been completely finished in 18th century barnboard painted white, and has heat. It is comfortable year round.
